James Henry Moss was born on November 4, 1934 in Osierfield, Georgia, to Luke and Ella Mae Moss.
They moved to Elmira, New York in 1954 and he spent most of his working career at General Electric as an industrial painter. He returned to Fitzgerald, Georgia where he became a member of Union Holiness around 1997 and was saved by grace.Ephesians 2:4-7
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by both his mother and father, Luke and Ella Mae Moss; three brothers: Lonnie, Robert, and Mack Henry; and three grandchildren: Willie Moss, Elliot Moss and Ebony Moss.
He is survived by seven children: Yvonne Moss Wilson of Fitzgerald, Georgia; Henry Ann Moss of Homerville, Georgia; James Timothy Moss of Atlanta, Georgia; Patricia Moss of Springfield, Massachusetts; Theresa Moss of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; Ella Mae Moss of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Charlie Moss of Springfield, Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; 10 brothers, sisters, and in-laws: Mary (Butler) Simpson of Elmira, New York; Dorothy (Henry) Shelanskey of Elmira, New York; Beatrice Moss of Antonio, Texas; Jimmy (Della) Moss; Roy (Edna) Moss; Luke (Sue) Moss; John (Jane) Moss all of Elmira, New York; Jack (Raphael) Moss of Ocala, Florida; Gene (Theresa) Moss of Detroit, Michigan; Mr. & Mrs. Conway Moss of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in-law: Dessie and Emma Moss; a special niece: Tide Wells; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and family friends.
